Submission Guidelines
Sacred Twilight accepts submissions in the following categories: fantasy, sci fi, and horror. All sub-genres of these are also accepted. Submissions are accepted year round, although there is a three week cut off before each publication date when no submissions received will be considered for that upcoming issue. All submissions received between the cut off dates will be read and either accepted or rejected for the next issue. You will be notified as soon as possible of the decision made on your submission. If not accepted, your work will need to be resubmitted to be considered for the next issue, as only enough will be selected to fill the needs of the issue currently being worked on. No backlog of accepted and waiting to be published pieces are maintained. This gives all writers better odds of having their work chosen and published. It also keeps your work from being accepted and you waiting forever to see it in print, when you have a chance to submit it elsewhere. Types of Submissions Accepted Novelletes (7,500-17,499 words) published in its entirety in one issue Short Stories (1,000-7,499 words) Short Shorts (under 1,000 words) Poetry (Any style and any length) Submission Information All submissions must be received in one of the following formats: .rtf, .txt, or .pdf. After the 90 day period all rights will revert back to the authors, although rights to archive the work in our databases indefinitely will be requested. The author may deny the request and if they do accept, then at anytime they may request the work to be removed. A signed and dated contract will be sent, upon acceptance, to the author three weeks before publication. When received the author needs to sign and return. When the completed contract is received, payment will be made to the author along with a copy of the signed and dated (by the Publsher and by the Author) contract.
